While there have been a number of Halo emblems that players have made for Battlefield 4 using the custom emblem creator, I feel like there should be more out there. Because ODST is my favorite game and not much had been done from that game outside of the Superintendent. I decided to try my hand with my first attempt as the New Mombasa Police Department seal.

I hope someone else out there who owns this game and is better at the creation interface can make a better one that I can use. But I wanted to show it off because it's Halo-related.

I tried reducing the seal to a more basic shape and because font/words need to be custom created for each letter I left it out. One thing I have to note is that you are only allowed 20 separate layers for the emblem, 40 if you own Premium. Even with 40, I ultimately had to sacrifice the 7 pointed star in the background for a basic 5 star. The bird itself was a pain to piece together requiring 29 layers and is far from exact.

I hope to refine it at some point to get the bird to take up less layers to actually get the star right, but for now this is the finished product. I did think about simplifying the circles as well so that I could free up more layers for the star, but didn't know if it'd take away from it. There's also no undo button in case you delete a layer, you'll have to redo the layer.
