I agree that this was meant for the comics. While some of the art is a joke in Halo quality standards, I felt the visuals with the text gave a lot more emotion. I'm not sure I would've felt the same if I read it out of a novel.

I like this emotional side of Halo, it pulls me in more. As long as Chief isn't being too down and sad all the time. (I like seeing Chief be emotionally raw here and there, just to show there's more to him than a silent Duke Nukem).
