In Response To: I can't wait! (Grizzlei)

: - Along with traditional narratives, maybe you could have a specific writing
: submission for forms like poetry, encyclopedic entries, or things like the
: chat logs and documents we see scattered throughout the novels.

I'm setting no sort of limits on the type of writing that people want to submit. It's at the discretion of the author to write in whatever format they're most comfortable and is most suited to the subject matter. I highly encourage short stories, but so long as they explore the theme in an interesting way, I'll be happy. I'm sure more than a few of my own might end up taking a data log type format.

: - Splitting up the overarching factions from a species or culture might make
: coming up with ideas easier. Instead of just having "Human
: week", you could have a theme that solely involves the UEG, UNSC,
: Insurrectionists, prehistoric Humans, or civilian life. You could also do
: similar things for the Covenant, on both an organizational level and for
: each member species.

I need the pool of random topics for each week to be large, and I'm afraid that getting that specific would limit the number of topics we could have in each division. It would also extend our cycle beyond ten weeks, and I already feel that tens weeks is a much too long turn around time for those who may be waiting for specific themes to submit (some people may only want to write/illustrate for Human and Covenant, but not the rest). But I do appreciate the idea.
