Of course they are. Everything about the XB1's original image failed to live up to Microsoft's initial expectations. The DRM scheme received catastrophic backlash. System-selling applications haven't been materializing for Kinect 2.0. The system sold huge at launch, but was frontloaded, and it seems clear in retrospect that the "all in one media solution blah blah" wasn't reaching as far as they hoped.

The Xbox One's original branding is now quite replaced, complete with a new higher-up whose face isn't associated with the old branding (Phil Spencer) taking the spokesperson role on the new XB1.
