So, yeah. The HUDs you see on the Marines in Halo are on the way. I think DARPA's system is more interesting because it gives the soldier information through augmented reality, instead of just being a gun-cam. It's leaps and bounds ahead of the Land Warrior System that the army was testing a few years back, and it's going to be one hell of a nice package five years from now.

Information is toggled with a knob in back, but I wonder if future versions of the device could be more interactive by registering eye movement, or by tracking hand gestures ala Minority Report.
