I used wifi for both 360 and PS3 for so long... it's convenient, and for most things (I use it for on console), more than sufficient. But I started running into trouble with wifi, and feel like there's less consistency in reliability... switched to wired, with static ips, and really it just took away any potential for frustration. The only things I have running wifi at my home now is mobile. Even my laptop is hardwired into my LAN (I never take it out of the home anyway).

IMO, wifi is at the point where it really only shines with mobile devices. Otherwise, why use wifi for a device always in the same place, when wired (apart from the physical cabling if that may be a factor for someone) is always a better/easier experience? *shrug*
