It may be possible that the plasma fire travels a little faster in the PC version, as I've rarely had trouble hitting moving targets with my Plasma Pistol. Can't be sure of that, though.

I have not. I've spent the majority of my Rockslide Megabattle time with the Marines on the plateau. Still, I may try the far area defence at some point.
