There could be life everywhere.

If life did originate as suggested here then life could happen on pretty much any rocky planet. The atmosphere would be irrelevant and the organisms might have little impact on it. It would take a lot to sterilise a planet; glassing wouldn't cut it.

Even boiling the oceans wouldn't be enough. Though rebound times would be pretty long ;-)
