I suppose I've been an idiot all these years...

I recently replayed AotCR in the Anniversary edition of Halo: CE, which has the added benefit of subtitles which were lacking from the original release. For years I've thought Cortana says:

"The Covenant were right... this ring... its Forerunner. Give me a second to access..."

When she actually says:

"The Covenant were right... this ring... it's Forerunner. Give me a second to access..."

I missed the apostrophe in "it's." For the longest time I thought Cortana was rambling about Installation 04's possessive Forerunner, not the realization that the ring itself was a Forerunner construct (which is something I suppose I just took for granted).

And as much as I'd like to blame the Story Page for an inaccurate transcription (>.>), it was at accurate since at least '08, so I'm just an idiot. This makes far more sense :) I guess I'm just surprised that a game I played countless times can still show me something I missed.
