Reasons for my Pumpkin Carving #18 in Contest
By:Gina Johnson
Date: 11/8/13 1:23 pm

Below is the reasons why I made my Halo Pumpkin Carving, please read it and let me know what you think since this is my FIRST pumpkin carving I have ever done... and I'm looking for feedback to improve.

I decided to make 7 carvings all only on 1 pumpkin to show my appreciation for Halo... given that numbers 7 and 1 make up multiple lucky number combinations: 117, 7/7 (Bungie Birthday), etc. On the contest website you will find that their are 6 images that I gathered from the internet and used it to make make-shift templates.

Know that most of the images I used I was inspired to use it because of the first Halo Xbox One game trailer announcement. I don't know the official title for the next Halo game, so I left it as a Halo Xbox One (you'll see in the photos).

I used the Chiefs face, and his hand (which was drawn freehand) with I thought would be Cortana's chip. I also tried to carve the mystery creature that emerges from the sand in the trailer. The UNSC logo was their just for fun, as I didn't have any other reason to put it their other then as a carving challenge.

My ultimate goal was to show the main significance of the Halo Xbox One trailer and take the those elements and put them on the pumpkin.

Hopefully its worth your liking. If it is please vote for it, as you have 5 votes to choose from.

Sincerely,
Gina Johnson
