I never liked BR/DMR starts in previous Halos. When everyone starts with the precision weapon, there's little reason to pick up anything else and the game gets pretty boring. Of course, that was before we got the spectacularly powerful Assault Rifle in Halo 4, that easily holds its own against the precision weapons...
