^Me too!^
I'm in work, so will be brief! To set the scene, I have less than a dozen Xbox games and at least 8 of them have "Halo" in the title. The Halo universe has always fascinated me; the sheer depth and mystery that Bungie created was awe-inspiring and intoxicating. Think of it as a supercar from the future, all shiny & with tinted windows so you can't see inside. When I read one day something along the lines of, "Frankie got drunk & bounded in with the decision that we'd lose Halsey's arm", something burst. That amazing supercar now has little blue chav-lights on the washer jets, the engine sounds like a bag of spanners and there's a gang of drunken louts hanging out the windows. Hopefully you get the idea.
The second thing is that the matchmaking simply isn't Halo, it's COD. In casual Halo MM, you can jump into any fight, take a fair bit of damage then often retreat whilst your shields recharge. My experience in H4, especially after the "tuning" is largely [spawn --> take a few steps --> die --> repeat]. I don't like having to camp around and cling to the shadows to try & survive; it tires me out & I don't consider it "fun"! One of the main complaints I had from COD-fan friends over the years who tried to coax me away from Halo is that Halo is too slow. Slow or not, I like that speed!
Anyway, back to work but before I go some annoyances that bug me every time I play it:
- SR130 limit (where's the incentive to keep playing? If CSR was available in-game then perhaps..)
- No firefight
- Can't hold "back" whilst moving around in-game to see scores
