In Response To: Re: The Analytical reasons behind Oni's influences (Pico) Actually, Oni's storyline is equally influenced by GitS AND Neon Genesis Evangelion, with a little bit of Giant Robo thrown in for good measure! Mostly what I'm shooting for is a story that is true to many classic anime (and Japanese cinematic) themes. I know that people tend to poo-poo 'American anime', but I'm a hardcore fan of the genre and I figure this is my chance to do something that we can be proud of! We (and by we I mean the Oni team) are really excited about the game and what it has become. We hope you'll find it was worth the wait, and that the story and characters could hold their own as an anime series or movie.
