In Response To: Re: so what's the deal (Bob Dole) doa2 is second generation software for the DC. second generation games ALWAYS look tons better than first generation games. DOA2 on the ps2 looks nearly identical (i hear theres a higher poly count, but you really cant see it. plus its a diffrent edition of the game. millenium or something i think) and it relys solely on a small portion of the entire ps2 chipset. It doesnt use the ps2s two co-processors at all, and only draws on the GS for very rudimentary graphics functions. wait for the games that are released for the US launch, and then some of the second generation games as developers learn to fully utilize the PS2 hardware. we havent even seen the beginning of what the ps2 is capable of (outside of a few tech demos... but tech demos are rarely impressive ;)) | |
