Jeez, i remember when I first saw Oni on Bungie's webpage and got all excited because it was going to come out in a year and how Bungie was always good with release dates and stuff. AND THEN, a year and three months later, we won't see Oni until AT BEST, mid-fall(I seriously doubt it will be one of the first PS2 release titles). What the hel happened? I mean, seriously, Bungie is pulling a classic "StarCraft" releasing their game literally a year after the original date. Hel, it's coming out AFTER Halo and that's just sad. And what happened to the oni website? Who's idea was it to get rid of the news section and all that other cool stuff and replace it with that crap? Well, all it comes down to is that Oni better be REALLY good after these release date changes, and I don't see that happening. Games that get their release dates changed so much usually end up kind of crappy because of the reason they get pushed back in the first place-there are big problems with it they have trouble fixing but it's too late to scrap the entire thing(like with Starcraft and daikatana, which frankly didn't live up to MY expectations). Now, I know Oni won't be bad. Hel, I have a friend who went to MacWorld Expo, played it, and said it was great. But huge release date changes REALLY piss me off and coming from Bungie, I'm just kind of disheartened. Oh yeah, what's the deal with all of this PS2 bashing? You think every Japanese system launch is flawless? hahahhaaha, whatever. Besides, don't dis unless you know what you're talking about. If some of you had been paying attention sources besides over-sensational US media, you would have noticed that the PS2 problems are software oriented and not hard-ware oriented, and that a fix has already been released. Besides, by the time it gets here, the problems will be fixed anyway and we'll see some good games by that time. I personally can't wait for Tekken Tag. pi | |
