Suppose for a moment that The Head is Moagim. The facts supporting this are that every leveler seems to be killed by cutting off their head (Myth2 Epilogue) and that the heads are (probably) imprisoned somewhere - Balor's head was imprisoned in the Great Devoid, Moagim (Tireces)'s head perhaps was "buried under 50 tons of sand and rock" to hold it forever.
Now, if The Head is Tireces/Moagim, I'm sure it would hold no great love for Soulblighter. Think about it - Connacht, with his right-hand man Damas (SB), felled Moagim/Tireces; I think it is even possible that Soulblighter delivered the killing blow although that is purely conjecture - he would be likened to the berserks in TFL who slew Balor. There was an old theory here about The Head and Soulblighter being in league, but given the above, that seems unlikely. I believe that the Head was in fact helping The Deciever.
Let's track the history of The Head. Skip the next two paragraphs if you already know it. The Head is lopped off of Moagim's shoulders and buried deep below the plains of the Cath Bruig, perhaps in the very catacombs of Muirthemne considering that is where Truan got it from. For a thousand years it lies trapped, until the Nine reawaken it and send Truan to recover it. Now, the Head sends Alric on a mission to the Deciever's camp, where he is captured and there, he is fed false information leading him to believe that with Balor gone, the rest of the Fallen Lords would lose their power. Although the Armies of the Dark did collapse, the Fallen Lords certainly retained their power - the Deciever lived to fight at the Stair of Grief, and retained enough power to survive beneath the river for 60 years, and Soulblighter retained enough power to overrun the East 60 years after Balor's fall. Shiver, or what was left of her, retained enough power to return in Myth2 also. But I digress.
Now, The Head also sent the Nine to recover the Total Codex, a successful mission, sends them to Silvermines, and later opposed the Nine and starts a civil war in Madrigal before once again disappearing.
The Deciever used to be Myrdred, an Avatar of Connacht's. It is likely that he, too, fought against Moagim. Consider these facts:
1. The Deciever occupied the Barrier and the remains of Muirthemne when the Head was stolen
2. The Deciever was there when Alric was sent to reocver the magic suit of armor
3. The Total Codex, sought by The Watcher (Big D's arch enemy), is taken by the Legion at the bidding of The Head
4. The Watcher's arm is taken from Silvermines at the bidding of The Head.
5. The Head starts a civil war in Madrigal while The Deciever is attacking that very city.
The Deciever's fate seems to be inextricably linked with The Head. This is getting quite lenghty, and I don't really have any theories to put forth about their connection - perhaps someone else does?
