She was also beautifull, and, well... alive. Remember, what we see and hear in Myth II is just her spirit, made corporeal with Tramist's Mirror. In her original body, she was slim and dainty (see loss postgame screen for A Traitor's Grave), and perhaps she rarely spoke. But Rabican splattered her across the Gate of Storms 60 years ago, so that Shiver is dead.
But this is a good point: nobody is really eternally dead in Myth, if Tramist's Mirror can take their spirit and make it corporeal again.
