Well in some cases it directly contradicts events that happen in the game, or just makes things up. It's a das day for a game when a book supplants gameplay as the final word in a debate but GURPS is fine in small doses. I just don't agree that prerelease info has anything at all to do with what actually occured in a game. If I were to create a game and before I published it I said that the game would feature 4 different races to choose from to play but in the final release one of the races was not implemented does that mean that I have to make up an explanation as to why the unimplmented race was missing other than gameplay reasons such as unbalance or underdevelopment? No, I don't because everything in a game is subject to change until it hits the shelves so if Bungie decided only to put in 4 fallen its their own god damn business. The other 3 or 4 just don't exist. In prerelease pics of the game we see a never implemented map, does that mean the map really exists and we have to explain why its there and what the objectives were? Of course not, why even attempt it because its impossible because the only information you have is a single picture from before the games release and unless you feel like kidnapping the members of the Myth team and interrogating them in a darkened room until they revealed all of Myths secrets and details theres nothing we can do about it.
