i think it's moagim.
in the myth 2 epilogue, we learn that "The Leveler was never killed. He was immobilized by sorcery, beheaded and burned at the stake in the Second Era."
later, in "tales from myth: the fallen lords", rabican's thoughts during his battle with shiver are "moagim ... vanity ... VANITY". before this, rabican is told by the head that shiver's weakness is vanity.
so it seems that both rabican's connection (his thought "moagim" while thinking of the head's advice) and the fact that the leveller (in the for of moagim) was beheaded and burned.

ps. someone sent me a theory about the head that also said it was moagim. unfortunately, i trashed the message, so i can't give credit. so i guess this is just my disclaimer that i didn't think up this theory. mr. somebody, i salute you.
