Hrm... it seems that the one thing that messes up all our theories is the statement that Connacht was the first person in a thousand years to defeat the Myrkridia. So, perhaps that wasn't a literal statement, but was hyperbole instead. In Marathon 2, Durandal states that we at Lh'owon are "half a thousand light-years away" from Earth or Tau Ceti. But someone else later pointed out on the Marathon's Story Page that the galaxy isn't even 500 light-years across, so there's no way two stars in our galaxy could be half a thousand light-years away from eachother. Durandal was using hyperbole. Likewise, perhaps the prologue writer, who stated that Connacht was the first man in a thousand years to win a battle with the Myrkridia, was also using hyperbole; it was really only a few years, at most a decade of losing battles, or perhaps there were even a few winning battles in there. Remember, this guy is relating a story ten centuries after it's occurance, using "old songs and half-forgotten legends" as his sources. Things could have gotten quite a bit exaggerated by then.

Yes, but compared to the Myrkridia having to breed their armies, ressurrecting one after another (who are all immediately adults), is pretty close to "all at once". That's what I meant.
