We know that the Cath'bruig empire still existed through the Wind age even though it was severly pressed by the roving bands of Myrkridia. That would cover the political system in the east. Now I want to know about the goverments in the west at the begining of the Wolf age.
I am fairly certen the Provence would not exist as we know it today. It became independent from the eastern empire sometime between the disiperence of Connacht and the civil war war that is mentioned in the TFL manual.
Given the general terrmoil of the times I doubt that a single goverment existed below the Scamander river and the Free Citys (which may or may not have included Madrical) would not have been as importent as today.
Sence the game appears to have a truly epic scail (14 years was it?) I dont see how they can avoid some journys into the west. Thats why I am so interested in the subject. Political games have always interested me;)
By the way, does anyone else think their could be a civil war in the new Empires future? The western nobility seems to be growing more disatisfied with Alrics actions and may try something drastic. I doubt the commen people would support them though consitering how Alric has saved them twice now...
