Why did the dwarves commit suicide by sealing the only entrance to Stoneheim after Myrgard fell?
Well, it's obvious they were trying to hide something but nobody could ever figure just what it was. But thanks to GURPS I've found something that fits in nicely.

If they're so scared about showing it or even admitting its existence it must be valuable. Valuable enough to bury it under thousands of tons of rock to keep it from falling into the wrong hands. Even if that meant they had to bury themselves with it.
