Dark Night of the Soulblighter

Concerning the illustrious villain of Myth2:
Does soulblighter have any sort of magic?

Reasons for why he does:
1) He _does_ collapse the cloudspine (or tries to) using some sort of spell.
2) He's immortal, until he smacked down by lava that is
3) He can turn in "many crows"

Reasons for why he might not:
1) He only attacks in melee.
2) Instead of mass destruck spells like dispersal dream, whisper dream or ripple dream, he uses vast amounts of his troops (i.e. myrkridia) to try and destroy large groups of enemies. This is aninnefective method, as these large groups usually bite the dust. A surer way would be to simply blast the armies out of existance.
3) We know that he relies on artifacts, he uses Transmist's Mirror (or whatever it is)

So, does soulblighter have magic and just not use it because he has no brain. Does he not use it out of a twisted sense of personal honor, i.e. "I'll shall only best my foes in man to man combat, not with cowardly spells!" or does he not manifest anything special because hecan only accomplish magic through artifacts? On the otherhand, didn't he learn the "Dark Arts?"
Any theories?

Yours in Chaos
