'Tales From Myth TFL' Spider-cultists?

Everyone who has 'Tales From Myth TFL', look at the top of page 15 which is the Tain story. There is a picture which shows a large spider and several people in the background. Does anyone have any ideas who they are? They could be cultists but its interesting to note that they are obviously not dwarves which would prove that there were other races involved in the spider-cults.
