Smiths, Spiders & Dwarves

Interesting conection I just made.
The Myth:TFL manual's description of Cave Spiders speaks of old Dwarven legends. It is generally believed that the Smiths of Muirthemne were Dwarves. In the Myth II Spider flavor text, it speaks of the Smiths and the "Spider-cults" as the same thing. And the final connection: the Smiths built the Tain, there are Spiders in the Tain, and when Connacht went to assailt the Spider-cult shrine, no sign of the Smiths of their followers could be found.
So I'm thinking, perhaps the Smiths beamed themselves, their followers, the the Spiders they worshipped all into the Tain, to escape Connacht's wrath. Though what happened to the Smiths after that? Did they live happily ever after (a few minutes to the outside world) inside the Tain? Or did they die at the hands of their Spider gods?
