And regarding Madrigal...
I see no discrepancy between the final release of Myth and the narration
of the intro movie. The movie sets the stage perfectly for the beginning
of the game. An army DID gather there, and a desperate battle WAS joined
against the Fallen. The fact that the player is not where the fighting
is worst does not mean there was no battle. Somebody had to divert that
huge undead army; the player gets that honor. The Legion was victorious,
and the story proceeded. There is no plot hole there.
