Armore of the Head

This might be answerd in GRUPS, but what ever happend to the armore Alric was looking for when he was captured? And why did the head want it? Mabey it wanted a body! It was not the Levellers armore, he had when he was looking for the Ibis corw. And another thing, in the Balor pictue in "The Ibis Crow" he has now hair. But in pools of iron hes got lots. Can a Leveller grow hair? Even after they were supposed to be dead? Is the Leveller undead?
