Bungie Acronyms

Inspired by a recent post at the Marathon Story Page (http://marathon.bungie.org/story/, for the Mythers who don't know), I got to thinking about the acronyms Bungie puts on the bottoms of all their boxes. Here's the message I sent to Hamish, trying to solve some of the puzzles. Perhaps some of the smart in this group can help solve the rest...

(Warning: while some profanity is bleeped out to slip under the lamer-sensors, all that's possible is left in. You've been warned).

--------

Alright, the complete list of acronyms, as you listed, are:

DMUKYA (Marathon)
MBIBTYB (Marathon 2)
TBWSAF (Infinity & Trilogy)
WACCSMD (Myth)
MRTEFCFY (Myth Soundtrack)
TATRTSTS (Myth II)
WUBNMH (Myth II Soundtrack)
SPMLOAS (The Total Codex)
YYMMDBATC (Total Soundtrack)

The first four we've got down: "Don't Make Us Kick Your Ass", "My Bob Is Bigger Than Your Bob", "Trick Bitch Whore Shit Ass F*cker" (pardon their French), and "Warcraft A Command & Conquer, Suck My Dick" (sorry again).

For Myth II, you've suggested "To All The Real-Time Strategists, Tough Shit". I like that one, but I had my own thoughts on this a while back: "There Are Two Real-Time Strategy/Tactical Simulations" (Myth and Myth II). I like yours better, though, as it fits Bungie's recent tendancy toward profanity.

I think I've figured out the rest of the Codex acronym, using Eric Budd's start: "Single Player Myth, Lots..." (or Loads) "...Of Additional Stuff" (or Shit). The first interpretation is cleaner, but the latter would fit Bungie's recent tendancy toward profanity better.

While we're thinking profanity, some of the soundtrack acronyms begin to make sense, at least in part. The Myth Soundtrack ends in "FY" (MRTEFCFY), which could easily be "F*ck You". But to whom?

WUBNMH... W may be Whore, B may be Bitch... can't figure much else out. Whore something Bitch something something something.

The Total Soundtrack is the oddest of them all. It begins like a placeholder for a date, YYMMDD (two-digit year, two-digit month, two-digit day; ie 000313 for March 13th 2000). But the second D is missing. The last two letters, "TC", usually mean "Total Conversion" in the gaming sense (or "Total Carnage" in the strictly Marathon sense), but in this case most likely mean "Total Codex", which included the Total Soundtrack with preorders.

However, there are a few other interesting interpretations. If TC stands for Total Conversion, then the MM may stand for MaraMyth, a TC of Marathon into the Myth engine.

The YY may also be something else, such as "Yes, You...". That would work, especially with with the following M, "Yes, You May...". But may what? May make... may move... lots of possibilities, but I can't figure any of them out.
