I was reading my GURPS last night when I noted something unusual. While listing the history of the human empire the book seemed to imply that the Cath'bruig empire also incorperated the westen part of the continent; or at least the old Provence.
Sense the book said the 20 years war was a war of suscession it does not seem unreasonable to look at the possibilaty that it was also a war of sesession.
If the reasons the West could have had to sever ties with the East were importent enough to fight for 20 years, it could tie in to Forrests' theory about the Leveler being a clenseing force.
Seem ludicress? Well hear me before you pass judgement.
If the Cath'bruig empire had become complacent about the needs of its westen most people (eximting tax season of cource) it may have been the begining of the rot that the leveler helps sweep away.
Also, the name "The Provnce" would suggest that the area was once under forren rule.
Errr, well thats all for now. I know this is badly done and almost compleatly groundless but it is late, thunderstorms are sweeping across my area even as I type so I cant go to get hard evedence to back it up.
Respectfully,
