Okay, I have a question for all your GURPS masters and encylopedists:
Connacht drove off the big threats of his day, hid the magic artifacts, became generally beloved... and then suddenly disappeared. Sure, he came back. But what was he up to in the interrim?
Something seems to happen to the Cath Bruig Empire shortly after the wolf age begins. All of a sudden all the big heroes just... vanish. Connacht goes awol for nearly a thousand years. Damas heads east... and the next time we see him he's got such a bad case of acne that he's turned mean. Myrdred disappears--what? Myrdred, disappearing without an explanation? Doing something weird and unsual? It can't be! Okay, well, that one's perfectly in character, but the rest are kind of fishy. What happened? Did they get bored with statecraft and ride off to find adventure and ended up finding the wrong kind of adventure? Did the people of Muirthemne just decide they didn't need heroes any more? None of them died in public as far as I can tell, so they didn't die and come back--they were around somewhere, just temporarily misplaced. Any ideas on this?
