RPG rules

I just thought I'd say this because Silicon was pointing some things out yesterday at AN about the RPG.

The rules that are currently available for download were written from a point of view that I would be the GM. I didn't fill in every last detail of rules because I knew that I could improvise and come up with answers to rules queries on the spot. I intended to use the eRPG campaign as a testing ground for doing an actual (very) many paged rulebook. For example, the amount of pts you get on skills = your age x 10 (the older you are, the more you have learnt and experienced, up to a point). Now obviously this is not always going to be the case because a child might receieve some intense training at a particular subject if he was particularly intelligent etc. But I wrote that rule down as a general guideline. When I write the full RPG, there will be explanations for all the different options.
Don't worry, I have about 20 odd pages of notes that I have made for when I make the full RPG and I assure you that I have thought of many ways that the current rules are non-consistent with real-life!

By the way, who thinks Northmen should be a seperate race to humans? Remember, they aren't just berserks! I thought of humans and Northmen as English and Scottish. Ok, they are the same species, but species and race are NOT interchangable. And of course it's possible for a human to have Northman stats and vice versa, but the difference in character profiles represents the norm, not the possible.

So get those characters in to me, because the person who gets theirs in first gets a free magic weapon!
