Setting for eRPG campaign

Anyone here who will be interested in playing the Myth eRPG game when I have the rules finished listen up!

What period of time do you think the our game should be set?

My suggestions are:
During Great War for a high fantasy campaign. Lots of mad fighting doesn't allow much exploration of the other aspects of the Myth world though.

Roughly one year before Soulblighter returns so that you can explore the world and have fun, but your characters will still get a chance at fighting in a big war when Soulblighter attacks.

One year AFTER Soulblighter is plunged into the depths of Tharsis. This would be the best one to do if you want to explore the other aspects of Myth and do some creative role-playing. This would be considerably easier for me as I could pretty much do what I want in terms of what happens (but don't worry, I aint gonna bring another Leveller along or anything big like that!).

So, which one would you prefer? Or would you prefer something completely different?
