Asylumer Units--the SERIOUS thread

Serious just means talk (in this thread) about a workable unit you actually want to use. No "skewering the enemy with witty repartee" attacks or anything like that. Creating lightning-farting zerks is serious business, after all. :)

Now it seems to me that the best thing to do is make units which *can* be used without any scripting. Design your unit so that with the proper scripting it can teleport or shapeshift or whatever if you want, but make sure that the teleport attack doesn't just cause it to commit suicide if the scripting's left out. That way, we can quickly slap the units onto all the maps we want to use, and then over a longer period of time release modified maps that have the necessary scripting to release your unit's full, incandescent potential.

Also, it's probably best if we don't use any new (not in the base Myth II collections and sounds) sprites, sounds or animations. Adding or modifying a collection means adding at least half a meg (for each AN unit) to the total plugin size, which is a bad thing given that we're probably going to be modifying the AN units and tossing them back and forth rather frequently.
