ID'ing the Nine

Okay, I'm clearly out of my depth in this forum, so I'm not going to present any over-arching theories here. What I do want to do is discuss the evidence we have for the identities, etc. of the Nine. Here's the material I'm going to work with:

The intro sequence for Myth: TFL.

The pregame pic of Rabican, Murgen and Maeldun from (I think) "Through the Ermine," in Myth 2.

The Myth comic.

From what I've heard (I still can't find a copy!) Gurps has little to say about this bunch. Anyone who has more data to add is more than welcome to do so.

The nine are apparently all powerful sorcerors. Some of them are also beefy guys in armor. Some of them are puny guys in robes. It breaks down like this:

Alric--puny guy with face paint
Murgen--puny guy with a big sword
Maeldun--puny guy with a staff (these two could be reversed)
Rabican--big guy in armor with a big sword and big magic
Cu Roi--a "powerful sorceror" (gee, that helps)

And four we know nothing at all about (right?).

Now the intro sequence to Myth: TFL shows three guys in a tent waiting for the head. A fourth one stands outside, watching for the berserk. This fourth guy could be a sentry, but I don't think so--he's carrying a staff (like Maeldun's, from the pregame pic), not a weapon. The three guys in the tent are Alric (or it could be Murgen, but the facepaint suggests otherwise), a Journeyman, and a guy who looks like a warrior without the armor... he's wearing the skull cap you would use to keep a helmet from chafing. He's got a mustache but no beard, so he's not a berserk, a fir'bolg, or even a very tall dwarf.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest we're seeing three of the Nine in this image--the head was supposed to be a top secret weapon at this point, so they would have been unlikely to let anybody else see it. We can, for safety's sake, say that the guy with the mustache is Rabican, or throw all caution to the winds and say that this is the first ever picture of Cu Roi (the only one I know about) or get really crazy and say it's one of the unnamed ones.

Let's say it's Rabican sans armor. We know he's in the far west at this particular point--he has to be to fight Shiver (right?). The one in the pointy hat is Alric--this seems to me the easiest attribution in the picture. It's Maeldun standing watch outside. What does this leave us? A Journeyman as one of the Nine! He would have to be one of the unnamed ones, and he would have to have some actual magic as opposed to healing, but that is definitely a Jman--he has the garlic clove necklace and everything.

Okay, that's my writing quotient for the day. What say you all?
