Asylum Night New-Years 2000 Party!
Nobody showed up for the Christmas Bash, despite that fact that it was toward the LATTER half of Christmas DAY (isn't all the celebrating usually done Christmas Eve and the following morning?). So, I'm making a point of notifying everybody a week in advance that yes, there WILL be a big Asylum party on Bungie.net on New Years DAY. Not Eve! DAY!
Can any of you make it in the middle of the DAY, the day AFTER the big party? Late in the day, even? All your hangovers should have worn off and all your girlfriends should have gone home, and barring the collapse of society, a nuclear holocost, alien invasion, or the second coming of Christ - or if I spontaneously get a life - I will be there, hosting the game. But I'm not gonna wait around half an hour. I'll be there 5 to 15 minutes early, and wait around up to 15 minutes. Then I'll either leave, or go play another game without you.
Things to do:
JOIN THE ORDER! Everybody! Even if you don't play games regularly, go do it! NOW! Go to www.bungie.net, navigate your way around to some form where you join an order. Enter your information. The password is Moagim.
GET THE STANDARD! Check the Asylum Night page, http://myth.bungie.org/legends/asylumnight/index.shtml">click here if you had no idea what I'm talking about. Go to the Mill (click the link at the top of this page, on the far right) and download Chimera and everything with a solo mesh from Creation. Then go to FSHL and download the latest Creation betas. If you have no idea where FSHL is or how to get the betas, email Ares and if he deems you worthy, he'll give you the appropriate info.
SHOW UP! Be there, on time, at 3PM Pacific time (4PM Mountain, 5PM Central, 6PM Eastern and, IIRC, 23:30 GMT). Have the Standard in your plugins folder. Be signed up with the Order. Put the tag "~AI~X", where X is either S(pecial), M(elee), R(anged), or E(xplosive), at the end of your name (if it will fit). Do a search for me (Forrest ~AI~S), and Go To Player. When a number of people show up, I will start a game called "Asylum Night New-Years Bash", and the password will be the name of the lost Trow city (the one in the Twelve Duns). Join that game. We will have a friendly conversation about New Years, Myth (preferably GURPS and MEAMUC), and whatever else comes up. Then we will play Myth until the NEXT millenium. It will be fun. Or else. Whether you like it or not. :-)
