Oh right the Skrael! They're not concretely linked to the Drowned Kingdom anywhere either. And yeah, they've got the same status as gryphons, pseudocanon at best.

I've always thought that the Scholomance wasn't a place but a loose organization; although, when I do think about if and where they have an actual physical school, for some reason I always picture a twisted old castle with lots of tall towers somewhere on a snowy mountaintop in the Cloudspine.
