So much has already been discussed that I would not be entirely surprsied if somewhere this has already been covered.
The TFL introduction refers to the "civilized nations" being reduced to "carrion and ash" in thirty years.
Similarly, in the TFL manual (though I think in the complex sorting out of timelines this has been dismissed)the (a?) journal writer refers to " Writing down every detail I could remember - the names of dead men and burning
cities..."
And yet there are only a handful of cities in the Province - Covenant, Scales, Tyr, possibly Strand, and maybe Shoal and Ash that are worth naming (though interestingly we never see anything about Ash by Bungie).
Of course, just because it isn't named or listed doesn't mean there was nothing - the Cath Bruig Empire could hardly have been only the city of Muirthemne and the farmland.
But the only civilized nations (of Men) we hear refered to are the Cath Bruig Empire, the Province, and the Free Cities (which may or may not be united in any form as of TFL).
Are there any clues buried somewhere in old beta versions of Myth and other scraps not released as part of the twenty-five scenarios we play through in the last year of the war?
Or, failing that, does anyone have anything interesting as a fan?
The pre-game years of the Great War really need more coverage...fan fiction and scenarios.
So, maybe if something comes out of this one of the community who can make scenarios can do something.
