That's interesting. Would that be more, or less, vulnerable to bludgeoning/crushing damage (such as a mace), though? More or less than iron/steel, that is.
Seems to me like it would be reasonably tough but brittle, rather like a katana, if for different reasons.
I may be off my rocker, though.
