it's been theorized that the dreams are all dreams of Wyrd one of the Gods of myth. The dream was fractured into various thingies and is now channeled or something to that akin. The stones being called Energon Cubes (at least for shades I forget the name of the ones for avatara) are probably manufactured. Also remember that a LOT of myth magic is 'item based' aka its not coming FROM the spellcaster, its the spell caster manipulating something else. The stone that absorbs lightning for the deceiver, transmists mirror, balmung, world knots, eblis stones.
