That is very strange; I remember nothing of what you mention. More info? Although you can't remember where you saw it, can you recall a general setting (bookstore? friend's house? was there 1 or many?)
Although definitely not what you are looking for exactly, there are: a Myth Handbook (self-published by the Myther formerly known as Deathwhore); two strategy guides; and the 10 Black Company novels on which the Myth plot was based.
