Installing Myth2 under XP

I've been trying to install the game after quite some time on my laptop with WindowsXP sp2 pro, but when the installation is at 100% a popup box appears with the message that WindowsNT needs sp3 to play Myth. Then it just quits and does nothing...

How do I fix / tweak / dodge this?
