What happened to the Head?

Heyo!
I know we don't have an answer to this, but that's what we're here to fix. Remember the thread about The Summoner a while back, which morphed into a thread about Fetch and Spider-gods and the nature of time in the Tain? Remember the premise behind it? We know nothing about a subject, so each of you makes up a random theory and defends it to the death, digging up evidence anywhere you can find it. I sit back and laugh... er, critique each theory, and piece together the evidence you all dig up.
So, the question for this round is: What happened to the Head? Last we heard there was a civil war over him in the West, just as Alric killed Balor, and the Deceiver broke through the Cloudspine and sacked Madrigal. Next thing we know, sixty years later, Balor is still dead, the Deceiver turns out to have been hunted down in the Stair of Grief, and the Head....? Is where?
