So it looks like we've got most everything settled for the outline for this story, with four exceptions:
Shiver. Who or what the hell is she in her various forms and how can we reconcile the differences between all sources on her?
The Trow, how exactly they all got put in the vaults beneath Rhi'anon, and what the hell "melted their cities into the ice" means.
How, or perhaps if, to have the further events in the west at the end of the second part, as I mentioned, while remaining ostensibly compatible with M3.
And finally, how or if to even bother synching up with the dates in M3.
On almost all these counts I'm tempted to go "screw it and chalk it up to historical inaccuracy."
Shiver was just a Myrmidon woman as portrayed in M3 - we ignore GURPS on this count, and its talk of "The Lurker" and "The Voiceless One" and all Culwyeh and all. There is no Lurker, Shiver is "Bonesplitter" (Myrm name) from prerelease, and The Voiceless One is one of the two unseen fallen along with The Faceless Man.
The Trow cities are in the frozen north. The Trow fell back to Rhi'anon as their cities were destroyed, and were sealed beneath it by use of the Sunhammer. When the Sunhammer was used, the surrounding glaciers melted and flooded the area and later refroze. Or something, who cares.
As far as dates and the end of M3 goes - M3 was wrong. Say the shrine was built five centuries after Connacht vanished and none of its creators knew jack shit about what really happened. Historical inaccuracies, all of it. Everybody else turned back after Connacht & Damas went past the Nornpass, and those they brought with them died, so no one was around to testify to the events west of the mountains - and they were all too concerned with the march of the Dark on Muirthemne, anyway.
