Ce Acatal

In the "Relics" section of this very website, it has a section called "Level Names," and in that section it has this to say about "Out of the Barrier":

This level is called "Flight From Ce Acatal" in the tags.gor file. This sounds similar to "Acit El", meaning "Golden Age" in Bruig, and the name of the calendar used in the Myth world. Was Ce Acatal an old name for Muirthemne perhaps? Or for the region of the former Empire the level takes place in?

Well, look at this. To quote Carlos Barrios, acclaimed Guatamalan archaeologist:

With the indigenous calendars, native people have kept track of important turning points in history. For example, the daykeepers who study the calendars identified an important day in the year One Reed, Ce Acatal, as it was called by the Mexicans. That was the day when an important ancestor was prophesied to return, "coming like a butterfly." In the western calendar, the One Reed date correlates to Easter Sunday, April 21, 1519, the day that Hernando Cortez and his fleet of 11 Spanish galleons arrived from the East at what is today called Vera Cruz, Mexico.

I'm not quite sure what connection this has, if any, but it's pretty interesting.
