Well i think that the journal writer is a warrior. Why do i think so? He couldn't be a journeyman, they are long living one's, couse they are old Heron Guard (all of them). And from what i know there are no new Heron's since Muirthemne fall. So the writer coludn't live with his grandfather(which will be pretty old if the writer will be a journeyman). Why he is not a berserk, a fir'Bolg or Avatara ? well he speaks abaut them from a little distance. Like in "Pools of Iron" , "Alric has been busy again, hardly sleeping I'm told, planning for the coming battle. A single berserk reached us yesterday..." For fir'Bolg "Across the Gjol", "Yesterday I saw iu'Shee, captain of archers...", Why not a dwarf "A long awaited party" , "What I record next is hearsay, though the Dwarves who remained with us after Forest Heart..." He never speaks like this when he talk's abaut warriors. Why not an Avatara "I do not understand what has happened. Falling back before two myrmidons in Forest Heart, I was enveloped by a greenish haze which tore me from the earth. ". He do not have any knowledge what is happenning to him, so could he be an archmage , avatara?
