The Narrators... *PIC*

First, the journal writer from Myth II: He is a "bowman".

I know this because, he is present in both Relic and The Summoner, "I will not be going below to help find the crown. Instead I will be travelling south to Forest Heart to search for another relic: the Tain." In those levels your only units are Bowman, Haron Gaurd, and Dwarves.

He cannot be a Harron gaurd, if for no other reason than because he says he isn't in the epilogue "Then he told me that next year the Heron Guard will be reinstating the septannual tournament to fill out their ranks. Men of bravery and warriors of renown from every corner of the empire will gather to compete for the honor of joining them. I will be there."

He cannot be a Dwarf, because all of the Heron Guard are human, so if he wants to become one he has to be human.

The Bowman is the only remaining candidate, and unlike in Myth I the bowman are human. As demonstrated by their lack of fir'bolg names and their description text.

Now, the more dificult narrator from Myth I: He is either a Berserk or a Warrior.

I use process of elimination for this conclusion.

The narrator from Myth I and the one in Myth II are different people, because the narrator in Myth II learns of the Myth I narrator from his journal, which garrick gives to him.

He is not a Dwarf; we see this in the sons of Myrgard. "This far east, the Dwarves with us are closer to their occupied homelands than any of their race has been in fifty years. Not expecting to return, many of them have decided to give up their lives rather than abandon their country once again to the Ghôls who have overrun it. What follows is their story." He refers to the dwarves in the third person, "their story," not "our story".

He is not an Avatar. Avatara are "The nine powerful sorcerers who lead the Legion against Balor and the Fallen Lords." (according to the Myth TFL manual description of "Avatara") So to be one of them he must be one of the nine, but he says, in the prologue, "And I'm reminded with a quick look over our ranks that we are not the brave Connacht's army, but a scruffy rabble in the service of The Nine." He can't be one of them and in their service at the same time. Also, he refers to them in the third person as well, "Two of The Nine were killed, which makes them something like The Three now..." (the sons of myrgaurd)

He is not an Archer. Archers are fir'Bolg, and live in the Ermine forest; "We have decided to go through the Ermine, the homeland of our fir'Bolg allies. Though the forest seems to be a continuous thicket, we have made good time." (Through the Ermine) So if he is a fir'Bolg he lives in the Ermine, which means his grandfather, also a fir'Bolg, lives in the Ermine. How does one have a farm, when it specifically states, "...the forest seems to be a continuous thicket..."? He cannot be a fir'Bolg, and therefore not an archer.

He's not a Forest Giant, DUH!

He is not a Journeyman, because when he joined up with the legion, "...there was a mad Journeyman..." which means, that Myrthemne had already been sacked when he joined the army, to be a journeyman he had to have been a Heron Guard, and thus had to have been in the army before Myrthemne was sacked. Therefore, if he were a journeyman, when he joined up with the Legion, there were no journeymen.

Now I believe that he is a Berserk, because they're "men of the north" (according to their Myth II descrition) and he speaks of "the war in the north" but the war was going on much longer than just the "war in the north" part. Also, I noticed that both the intro and ending cutscenes feature a Berserk. Lastly, I just think Berserks and Harons are soo much cooler than warriors that it should be one of them, and I can rule out Heron, so I say "zerk", but I wont hold it against you if you think he's a warrior, because I can't prove you wrong.
