transient Alric?

This is a pretty basic question, but it's late, I'm at work, and I'm bored...
How does Bungie reconcile the obvious death of Alric in the first Myth with the second Myth? I know that just about everyone has seen the flying Alric head amidst the detritus showering Truan after the Great Devoid erupted, but obviously the avatara lived. How? Is it that he was so powerful that he could resurrect himself? Doubtful, since it took an Eblis stone to equal himself with Balor. What if, and this is a big IF, he died and then came back immediately as the Leveler. We know Alric is slated to become the Leveler since he is the savior of the Sword Age. But what if after his death from the Great Devoid's explosion he was immediately resurrected as the Leveler and like Balor/Connacht before him, waged what he thought was a just war against Soulblighter? I mean, this is a hard claim to justify since the Leveler is all about....well, levelling. And Alric definitely presided over the rebuilding of the West and even the retaking of the Cath Bruig. But what if it's a matter of perspective? No doubt Balor thought he was waging a just war, apparently unaware of his "possession" by the Leveler. What if the same was true of Alric sixty years later? I'm not saying this theory is fullproof (obviously), but maybe it warrants some consideration. After all, everyone thought they were doing the right thing, but then again...
we did free the Deceiver.
