Across The Gjol

I was reading through your Field Guide earlier (even after a year or so of reading this website I still find it entertaining) when I started to think about your first major point of interest: the skewed perspective of the map and its subsequent river path. In the field guide you note that the map shows the river running east to west, yet the level shows it running north to south . To me, this does not in any way seem to be odd or out of place. Could it not be possible that the perspective of the map is indeed NOT relative to geographical direction of the riverway? I mean, you CAN rotate the camera so it accomodates the proper angle, just like you can adjust the camera to accomodate any angle on any other level you want. To me, it is in fact more entertaining and easier to defend the bank when the river is north to south (perspectively), since the flanks are the first areas to get hit it would make since to have your perspective be north/south so that you can more easily navigate your Dwarves. I don't think that there is any mistake on Bungie's behalf here, I simply think that they figured it would be more beneficial to have the perspective running north/south instead of east/west. It's all a matter of perspective. Let me know if this makes sense. Thanks:)
