I thought power was only true in myths of old
Meant for great heroes, but not for me.
Wyrd was out to get me,
That's the way it seemed,
Disappointment haunted shadow-Dreams.

I thought power was more or less a taking thing,
Seems the more I took, the less I gave.
What's the use in trying?
