I am not entirely certain, being new here, if this specific theory regarding the head has been discussed, so let me know if this is the case.
Let me get some things out of the way before I begin.
1. I played Myth 3, but do not consider any of its events relevent- only BUNGIE's Myth will be discussed.
2. I did not play GURPS Myth, and know not wether its rules and stories are widely accepted within this community.
3. I just finished playing Myth TFL right now, so I'm no as rusty.
We can all suspect that the Head had indeed talked with the Fallen, as the Watcher knows that the Codex was in Covenant. This means he's been around. Obviously, since the light had possesion of the Head, the Dark were somehow displeased with the head. We can all discredit his statement that he was an old enemy of Balor and a friend of Connacht, for obvious reasons.
I propose that the Head is a God. He was able to jump into the Myth world 16 years after the war began, and then "vanish into history" after his work was done. How could the Head simply vanish? And why would valiant warriors of the light jump up to defend a talking head that was obviously fooling them? He knew a lot about the layout of the world, and he knew how to get to the Fallen and the Light.
If this is discredited, then I would say that the Head was allied with the Deceiver. Why?
1. The Deceiver hated most of the other Fallen.
2. The Head could turn light warriors to fight for it, just like the Deceiver could.
Perhaps the Head was an apprentice of Myrdred in a previous age?
